Professional Background
Mr. Price started his legal career in the business litigation section of international law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. He has since practiced at litigation boutiques, where he continues to tackle complex legal problems for his clients, while having greater liberty to implement innovative technologies and creative strategies to effectively and efficiently address his clients’ needs. Mr. Price is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association, and the Dallas Bar Association. Mr. Price is a member of the Electronic Discovery Institute and has earned the EDI Discovery Practice Certificate.
Educational Background
Mr. Price received his J.D. cum laude from the University of Minnesota School of Law, where he served as executive editor for the Minnesota Journal of International Trade. He received his B.A. in International Relations and Spanish from Brigham Young University.
Representative Experience
Mr. Price has achieved favorable outcomes for clients at all stages of litigation, including:
- Obtaining a final judgment and award for damages after a bench trial for claims of fraud and tortious interference arising out of an investment in natural gas exploration.
- Successfully defending a manufacturer in patent infringement litigation, and pursuing counterclaims for unfair trade practices, resulting in a favorable settlement.
- Successfully defending a national hospice provider against allegations of violations of the False Claims Act and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
- Obtaining a summary judgment in federal district court for the carrier in an insurance coverage dispute.
- Successfully getting fraud claims brought against an attorney dismissed for lack of personal jurisdiction.
- Obtaining a finding of contempt of court against a judgment debtor for fraudulent conduct in violation of court orders, resulting in his incarceration and eventual payment of a substantial portion of the judgment.
